'THE GREEN MAN' arrives at its final resting place - Buckshaw, Lancashire. Feb 2005.

The GREEN MAN now proudly stands at the entrance to the new village of Buckshaw between Preston and Chorley built by Barratt/Redrow homes on Central Avenue.

It was placed February 2005. Now firmly fixed to its solid concrete base it is expected that a variety of attractive vines and creepers will transform the metallic man from its present sky white to an inspiring and refreshing green as the growing season commences. It is thought that the Green Man will be one of the last residents to take up both a prominent and certainly a permanent position at this new and exciting development.
